NICHI is a brand operated by UBANESE, LLC ("UBANESE," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit nichi-7255.myshopify.com or any successor domain (the "Site"), join the Matcha Club, contact us, or interact with NICHI at our popups.
We respect your privacy. We do not sell your personal information, and we never will without telling you first and giving you a way to opt out.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you join the Matcha Club, you provide your email address. When you use our contact form, you provide your name, email address, and the contents of your message. If you make a purchase in the future, you will provide order, payment, and shipping information, which will be processed by our commerce and payment providers.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers collect certain information automatically, including IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring pages. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies used by our platform provider (Shopify) for site functionality, security, and analytics.
Information from third parties. Our website fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts load. We do not receive personal information from social media platforms when you follow or interact with our accounts, beyond what those platforms make visible to us.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to: operate and improve the Site; send Matcha Club emails you signed up for (popup locations, new drinks, and early access announcements); respond to your inquiries; fulfill orders if and when we sell products online; prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
Matcha Club messages are sent by email only. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us at info@nichi-matcha.com.
How We Share Information
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed for them to perform their services: Shopify (site hosting and commerce platform), Klaviyo (email for the Matcha Club), and payment processors (for future purchases). These providers are contractually limited in how they can use your information.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
Cookies and Tracking
The Site uses cookies necessary for functionality and basic analytics provided through Shopify. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Because we do not sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising, opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) do not change how we process your data, but we honor them where applicable. The Site does not currently respond differently to "Do Not Track" browser signals; this disclosure is made pursuant to the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; access a copy of your personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions; and not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise these rights, email us at info@nichi-matcha.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your request using the email address associated with your information and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we will require proof of authorization.
In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described above (identifiers, internet activity, and, for future purchases, commercial information). We have disclosed them only to the service providers described above, for business purposes.
Data Retention
We keep Matcha Club emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to resolve your inquiry. Order information, if applicable, is retained as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, and our platform providers (Shopify, Klaviyo) maintain industry-standard security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced on the Site or by email.
